Trap, Neuter, Release: Bad for Cats, Disaster for Birds
Every year, millions of birds are killed by feral and free-ranging domestic cats. One proposed solution to the feral cat problem is the technique of trap, neuter and release, whereby feral cats are caught, neutered, and then released back into so called "managed" cat colonies. However, far from solving the problem, these colonies only exacerbate the situation and fail to reduce cat overpopulation.
