American Bird Conservancy has added three new items to our catalogue of videos which are on our YouTube channel at http://www.youtube.com/abcbirds, or our website at http://www.abcbirds.org/newsandreports/video.html where ipod downloads are also available.

“Making Wind Energy Green” is a Bird News Network video that discusses the impact to birds from wind turbines, the need to ensure wind farms are properly located, and some effective mitigation measures that can be taken by wind farm operators to reduce bird mortality. In addition, two short videos promoting the reauthorization of the Neotropical Migratory Bird Conservation Act as part of American Bird Conservancy’s Act for Songbirds Campaign are now available. The first features a variety of Neotropical migrants and a narrative describing the program, and the second features footage of the Cerulean Warbler, a migratory species that has declined more than 70% since surveys began in the 1960s.
