New Bird Discovered in Colombia

A bird new to science has been discovered
high in the mountains of Colombia. The Yariguíes Brush-Finch,
as it has been named, was found by researchers next to the
Cerulean Warbler Bird Reserve, operated by ABC partner Fundación
ProAves. The reserve was purchased in 2005 by ABC and
ProAves through funding from Dorothy Welch, British Conservationist
Robert Giles, and other supporters. For more information,
