Cory’s Shearwater nests colonially on islands in the Mediterranean and eastern Atlantic, including the Azores, Canary Islands, Madeira, and Cape Verde Islands. During nonbreeding it ranges widely in the Atlantic, including off the coast of the eastern U.S. and Canada. It also occurs at sea off the Bahamas and the West Indies and the western Indian Ocean, while a few are found in the ocean off Brazil and Uruguay.
