ABC Partner: Fundación Parque Nacional Pico Bonito

The Fundación Parque Nacional Pico Bonito is an organization dedicated to the protection of the natural and cultural resources of the Pico Bonito National Park in northern Honduras. The Fundación works to reduce the advance of the agricultural frontier in the park by working with the local communities, to inventory the resources in the park, and to put the attractions of the park within reach of visitors.

Partnership Activities:
American Bird Conservancy and the Fundación are working together to restore habitats within the park for use by Neotropical migrant birds. We are also expanding the borders of Pico Bonito National Park to include dry pine habitats and lowland areas for use by Neotropical migrant birds and where the Critically Endangered Honduran Emerald also occurs.
