Saylorville Reservoir
The Saylorville Reservoir is a Globally
Important Bird Area as it provides habitat for more than 6%
of the biographic population of American White Pelican and
up to 10% of the world's Franklin's Gulls, plus continentally
important populations of Ring-billed Gulls and Caspian Terns,
and nationally significant numbers of Bald Eagles. In the
past it has supported globally significant numbers of Common
Mergansers and Pectoral Sandpipers.
